Zero Tolerance for Ragging

Singari Devi College of Law is committed to maintaining a campus free from ragging, intimidation, harassment and any conduct that affects the dignity, safety or well-being of students.

Anti Ragging Policy

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited within the college campus and in activities connected with the institution. Students are expected to maintain mutual respect and uphold the dignity of fellow students.

The Anti Ragging Cell and Anti Ragging Squad shall work with the college administration to create awareness, monitor the campus environment and respond appropriately to complaints or incidents of ragging.

  • Ragging, bullying, intimidation or humiliation of students is not permitted.
  • Students should report any suspected incident promptly to the college authorities.
  • Complaints will be examined by the appropriate institutional authority in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
  • Students are expected to cooperate with preventive and awareness activities conducted by the institution.

Anti Ragging Squad

The Anti Ragging Squad is responsible for preventive monitoring, awareness activities and prompt reporting of any suspected ragging-related incident to the competent authority.

Anti Ragging Cell – Members

The Anti Ragging Cell provides institutional oversight for prevention, awareness and handling of complaints relating to ragging.

Responsibilities

Prevention

Monitor the campus environment and identify situations that may create a risk of ragging.

Awareness

Conduct orientation and awareness activities so that students understand the prohibition of ragging.

Response

Receive and communicate complaints to the competent institutional authority for appropriate action.

How to Report Ragging

  1. Immediately inform the Principal, Anti Ragging Cell/Squad or another designated college authority.
  2. Provide the relevant details of the incident, including date, place and persons involved, wherever possible.
  3. The institution will examine the complaint and proceed according to applicable anti-ragging rules and institutional procedures.
  4. Students should not attempt to confront or retaliate against the alleged offender.
